24 HOUR DETOX


Upon Waking Drink

Morning Lemon Elixir:

  • 1 cup warm or room temperature filtered water
  • Juice of one lemon
  • Pinch of cinnamon + 1 tsp raw honey or 1/8 tsp of stevia

Chug!

Breakfast

Blissful Blueberry Smoothie:


  • 1 cup unsweetened almond/coconut/hemp milk
  • ½ cup frozen or fresh, organic wild blueberries
  • ½ cup spinach
  • Scoop of Collagen Peptides
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds (grind them yourself) or chia seeds
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Stevia or raw honey to sweeten
  • Ice (optional)

Blend thoroughly

Snack

  • 10 almonds and ½ apple

Lunch

Mixed Salad

  • 2 cups mixed greens or spinach, chopped
  • ½ cup carrots, chopped
  • ½ cup cucumber, chopped
  • 1 cup artichokes 
  • 1 avocado, cubed
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds or seed of your choice
  • Handful parsley, chopped
  • Handful basil, chopped

Chop vegetables and mix in a large bowl. Top your salad with avocado and hemp seeds. Drizzle with one of these tasty dressings.

Snack

Supper

Carrot Ginger Soup

  • 4 cups chopped carrots
  • 6 cups bone broth or water
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 2-inch nub ginger root, peeled and grated
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Dash nutmeg
  • Chopped fresh parsley, dill, or cilantro

Put carrots, ginger, and onion in a pot with broth. Bring to boil, then cover and reduce heat. Simmer 20-25 minutes. Remove from heat and put everything in a blender or food processor to purée. Serve hot, topped with fresh herbs.

Before Bed

Immune Boosting Ginger Elixir

  • 1 cup filtered water
  • Juice from ½ lemon
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey or stevia

Bring the water and ginger to a boil, reduce heat and simmer. Add the lemon and keep at a low simmer for several minutes. Then pour into a mug, add sweetener, & enjoy.

That doesn't seem so hard, does it?

PS - Since the whole point of doing this detox is to start purging the built up toxins that have accumulated in your body over the years, it wouldn't make much sense to ingest more during this 24 hours. So, please buy as many organic items as you can! 

However, I know that sometimes it can be difficult to find organics where you live, and cost can often be an issue. So, do what you can, and use this handy chart that tells you what produce is the most toxic and should be bought organic, and what you can buy conventionally (if you have to).
